Truck Hits Lions Bay Home

Vehicle also damages local bridge

No injuries were reported by a Lions Bay homeowner after a vehicle crashed into his home on Saturday.

The incident is believed to have started on the Sea to Sky Highway following a mid-day traffic stop. Unconfirmed reports say that during a traffic stop, a BC Highway Patrol officer witnessed another vehicle being sideswiped by a truck. When the officer gave chase, the vehicle flew down Lions Bay Avenue, damaging a bridge before striking a house.

Sources told The Watershed that the individual driving the vehicle was the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant, and was apprehended at the scene.

Police on scene refused comment, though one officer said that an engineer had been onsite to assess the damage to the bridge.

The homeowner reported that all was well, apart from the unexpected vehicle jammed into the front of their house.
