The Milky Way...

Writer's picture: kc dyerkc dyer

As seen from Lions Bay

Local photographer David Zhang took this astonishing image on August 16, 2023. It's an overlay of 50 separate shots before 10:30 p.m. The foreground was shot just after sunset and overlaid with the sky shots.

For those interested in the technical specs, David uses a Sony A7R4 camera. (24-70/f2.8 GM lens ISO 3200, f2.8, 10s at 24mm)

David and his partner Jasmine Lin moved to Lions Bay in 2022 after many years in Toronto. If you'd like to see more of his amazing photography, you'll find it on his Flikr page HERE.
