Barbara Enns remembered at 2025 Vancouver Sun Run

This year's Vancouver Sun Run will be a bittersweet event for long-standing members of the Lions Bay Rainforest Racers team.
The team have been running together for more than 15 years, and range in age from 12 to over 80. Until this year, one of the driving forces behind the team has been Barbara Enns. Barbara and her husband David died when their house was destroyed by a landslide along Battani Creek in December.
The 2025 team is dedicating their run to Barb, and encouraging those who may not have participated in the past to join the event in memory of Dave and Barb.
Interest in participating this year is high, and Rose Dudley, one of the team founders, is delighted. "Usually, I have to coerce some of my grandchildren to make up the minimum number for a team," she said. "Last year, we were 12, but this year we already have 48 runners."
Dudley sees this as a testament to the feelings so many hold for Barb and Dave.
The team has been featured prior to this year's race in The Vancouver Sun, with a piece that includes a photo of Barb out for a run.
This year, the race will be held Sunday April 27, and will include individual and team divisions for walking and running at both 2.5 and 10 kilometre distances. Details can be found HERE, and Dudley encourages those interested in participating this year or sponsoring the team to contact her at rosedudley1941@gmail.com.

I should also have added that you don't have to be a runner to be part of the team. Many of our recruits will be walking the 10 km.
I will help anyone who contacts me to register for our team. A reminder that there are ONLY FOUR DAYS left to register for the team. After that you can register as an individual but will not be a part of the team.
