Welcome to The Watershed!

Updated: Feb 5, 2023

Hello and Happy New Year!

Welcome to The Watershed, the new community voice for residents and friends of Lions Bay and the Sea to Sky. We're excited about this new launch, and are already reporting local news, community events and happenings here in this online space.

Additionally, we are pleased to offer a comprehensive digest of these daily stories, delivered to subscribers by email at the end of every month.

If you'd like to subscribe, please scroll to the bottom of this page.

Email addresses will be held in strictest confidence, and will only be used to deliver the monthly digest.

We hope you will consider subscribing -- and tell all your friends!

This new idea is definitely a work-in-progress, and to start, The Watershed will be free to read, with overhead costs eventually borne by advertising sales. As we progress, we may be able to offer an advertising-free option to premium subscribers.

The goal of The Watershed is to include news and events from the village and surrounding area, with opportunities for discussion and comment. We will celebrate the good news stories, cast an eye on our elected representatives at all government levels, and address some of the tough questions that come along with being citizens of this village and region. The Watershed will give voice to the solid sense of community that Lions Bay was founded on and still holds today.

If you'd like to contribute news stories or help support the paper through advertising, you are welcome to reach out by email to: editor@lionsbaywatershed.ca. And if you need a little help finding your way to articles of interest, check out the Navigation Page.

Thanks for reading and welcome to 2023!
