Meet the Lions Bay Historical Society

Writer's picture: Trudi LuethyTrudi Luethy

Did you know the Lions Bay Historical Society formed in 1995? Since that time the Society has become involved in many aspects of the Village from being involved in opening the Centennial Trail, to Brunswick, and even to organizing the Village-wide Flag Contest which brought us our well-loved Village flag.

Photographs of all Village Councils since the inception of the Village in 1971 are updated and retained by us. The Lions Bay Historical website www.lionsbayhistoricalsociety.ca

provides most of the history of Lions Bay and includes a “In Memorium” section where family members of a loved one can provide an obituary.

A popular part of the Village Update has included a section called 'Looking Back', where historical events are revisited.

We always welcome new members to our LBHS group, who are interested in our history or can provide us with a historical story to further increase our knowledge of Lions Bay.
