Holly Jolly Comes Early

Village welcomes tenth annual Christmas Fair

Fresh holiday swags available.

Artisans from Lions Bay and up and down the Sea to Sky will gather this weekend for the 10th annual Christmas Fair, Saturday November 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Arts Council member Leslie Nolin says it's the perfect place to start your holiday shopping.

"If you are looking for locally made gifts for those on your Christmas list... or if you are not on the 'naughty' list this year,  perhaps the purchase is for yourself," she says.

"Come and see the magical creations our local artists have produced."

Red Couch Bakery will have fresh pies for sale, and Ian Grant's famous fresh Mama Jazz relish will make a return. There will be paintings from Monica Gewurz and other artists, and Mary Brown's glass jewelry and glassworks will be on hand, along with forest-fresh Christmas swags for adding a festive touch to your home.

"We have Christmas snacks and treats along with hot apple cider," says Nolin. "And singer Dan Pocock will entertain and get us all into the Christmas spirit."

She notes that the door swags were made fresh this past week. "All sales will be matched by Lions Bay Arts, with the funds directed to the Squamish Food bank. And if they sell out - we will take orders and get them to you after the Fair."

The event is sponsored by Lions Bay Arts Council. For more about local artists, check out the newly updated website launching later this week at LionsBayArts.ca
