Final Day to Cast Your Vote

Updated: Oct 19

Will the weather affect provincial election results?

The polls are open, and today is the final day for eligible voters to cast their ballot in the provincial election.

Lions Bay falls into the West Vancouver Sea to Sky riding, and three candidates are vying for the chance to stand as Member of the Legislative Assembly: Jen Ford for the BC New Democratic Party, Jeremy Valeriote for the BC Green Party and Yuri Fulmer for the BC Conservatives.

You can read a Q&A with BC Green Party candidate Jeremy Valeriote HERE and with BC NDP candidate Jen Ford HERE. Conservative candidate Yuri Fulmer has not responded to The Watershed's request to participate.

In the village, ballots can be cast at Broughton Hall, 400 Centre Road, any time from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. You are required to bring proof of identity and address with government-issued ID.

You must be registered to vote in BC, but if you are not, this can be completed in person at the polling place.

More information is available through the Elections BC site.
