Artist speaks about drawing and journaling in your own backyard
Artist Vicky Earle has enjoyed being in nature since her childhood on the shores of Lake Superior. Since 1985 she has made her living illustrating scientific and medical subjects.
Her website notes that over the course of her career, Earle has "designed and produced thousands of illustrations for scientific and medical textbooks, journals and brochures, as well as artwork for legal litigation, video, animation and websites."
Earle says that her work invites people to slow down and take the time to look a little closer and be surprised by the magic of nature.
At 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, Earle will give a talk at the Village Hall about observing, drawing and journaling the natural world. The event is free, though registration is required. Please RSVP to info@lionsbayarts.ca if you plan to attend.
