Clear skies (for once) made for good viewing

Did you see the aurora last night?

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the earth is being bombarded by the largest geomagnetic storm to sweep the northern hemisphere since last May.

Clear skies last night made for some beautiful viewing above the village.

The forecast shows a slightly lesser chance for good viewing tonight, though slight cloud cover could be a factor.

Sky shot shared by Mary Brown.
